We’re now offering telemedicine appointments!
Sport Dog Specialty Medicine now offers a variety of services via phone for current clients. Telemedicine visits provide even greater flexibility for pet families. This also allows for conversations amongst family members in multiple locations and provides the opportunity for all involved to ask questions and provide feedback in the decision making process.
Specialized veterinary care to you
Dr. Love formed Sport Dog Specialty Medicine to bring specialty veterinary medicine to the pets of Northwest Colorado and beyond.
What is a Board-Certified Veterinary Specialist?
A veterinary specialist is a veterinarian who has completed advanced training in a specific field of veterinary medicine following graduation from veterinary college. This includes training internships and residencies, completion of research projects as well as passing examinations evaluating their knowledge in that specialty area. Much like human medicine, a general or family practice veterinarian may call in a veterinary specialist to help if a patient is suffering from something out of the ordinary.

The best of both worlds
Dr. Love is one of two veterinarians that is double-boarded in canine Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and Small Animal Internal Medicine, offering a unique approach to your pet’s care. She is also certified in canine rehabilitation therapy and veterinary spinal manipulation therapy (veterinary chiropractic).
